My name is Ed Kikkert living in the province Zeeland in the Netherlands together with my girlfriend an son. I work full time at the Dow Chemical Company in Terneuzen as Electrical Representative (Installatie Verantwoordelijk). Since the beginning of the first personal home computers i'm interested in all sort of engineering based on the Open Source concept. This can be Software but also Hardware related.
I have build up experience with Linux and BSD operating systems. As server side i prefer FreeBSD operation system and as desktop environment OSX and Linux Ubuntu. Embedded hardware is nice to do all kind of projects with like domotica and hosting websites. My preferred boards are Soekris, Wrap, Alix, Arduino and Raspberry-Pi.
Open and Free Networking Communication should be available to all people regardless their geographical location.
